I have been doing a lot of research and reviews on strollers lately and what this has made me realize is that we as parents’ of 2016 are incredibly spoilt for choice when it comes to strollers and all baby products in general.
What I am having trouble deciding is whether it is a blessing or a curse. We are a generation obsessed with technology, so the days of walking into a store and just purchasing a stroller are long gone. Now have to do hours of internet research, read reviews and only then can we get down to the nitty-gritty of actually purchasing the chosen stroller.
Oh and by the way, who still actually goes through the effort of doing makeup and driving to the store? Certainly not me, I don’t see the need when I can purchase online. From the comfort of my home with no one to care if I have makeup on or if I am still in my PJ’s. A simple click of a button and my purchase is delivered to my door, no mess no fuss.
It is because I am one of those technology obsessed moms that I have reviewed the following double strollers that are either compatible with an infant car seat or have the car seat included, to make other moms shopping experiences more pleasurable and straightforward.
The advantages of purchasing a complete travel system are glaringly obvious, no extra purchases, and you guaranteed that all the components are compatible with each other. There aren’t that many available as a complete system so when you find one you need to take advantage of the opportunity to purchase it.
– Quick and easy fold, almost like a book (hence the name)
– Multi-position independently reclining seats
– Large storage basket with pockets
– Soft ride wheels with suspension
– Hinged belly bar
– No snack tray or cup holders
– No parent tray
This double stroller is very compact at only 29” wide it can fit through most doors with ease and handles well on most terrains, although it is by no means an all-terrain stroller. The car seat adapter included allows you to attach the infant car seat also included quickly. However, it doesn’t end there because you can purchase a glider board separately which adds a standing platform for a third child as well as another car seat adaptor for if you would want to add two car seats. This versatile, no limits stroller is suitable for infant to toddler with a seating capacity of 45lbs per seat, and without a doubt gets two thumbs up from me.
It is no easy feat trying to find a double stroller that includes one car seat, or two for that matter. A lot of double strollers are compatible with one or two baby car seats. Either by snap and go technology or by purchasing an extra car seat adapter. However, you will be incredibly lucky to find them available to buy as a set.
As mentioned in the previous stroller there are many advantages to purchasing a set. Makes me wonder why there aren’t more complete systems available on the market.
– Capable of holding one or two infant car seats
– Easy one hand fold with lock
– Seats are fully reclining
– Reversible seat liners
– Under carriage storage basket
– Car seat and car seat adapter not included
– No snack tray
The 10″ air-filled tires and 7-position adjustable handlebar allow you to use this as a jogging stroller or for everyday use. It is easily maneuverable on all terrains. Compatible with one or two infant car seats from some of the major brands. Including Mountain Buggy protect, Phil & Ted’s alpha, Graco Classic and click connect, Chicco key fit, maxi cosi mico and Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30. You can quickly transform it into a complete travel system, remember the adapters sold separately.
At only 25” wide it is very possibly the narrowest double stroller currently on the market that can accept one or two car seats or bassinets. Been so narrow makes the seats narrow, so it probably rules this one out for me personally. My almost 4-year-old son is the size of an average 5-6-year-old, and he might find it uncomfortable to sit in. However, if you have normal size children this, the double stroller has received great reviews and may just be the one for you.
Looking stylish and sophisticated in sandstone. The B-Agile is lightweight, compact enough to fit through doors easily. Comes equipped with a click and go infant car seat adapter able to hold one infant car seat.
– Suitable for newborn up to 50lbs per seat
– Large canopies
– Adjustable handlebars
– Padded seats with 5 point safety harnesses
– Only accepts Britax car seat
Fully flat recline and all wheel suspension guarantee you and your little ones a smooth, hassle free ride whether you are off to do shopping or for a walk in the park. With the ability to only hold one infant car seat this stroller is ideal for your infant and toddler. It won’t weigh you down when used for traveling. About as near to perfect as you will get.
There are certainly numerous fantastic double strollers available, as a mom, I am always looking for a well-priced feature-packed stroller. A double stroller with one car seat will suit my needs perfectly with my son and nephew. However, I want the option to be able to purchase a complete travel system with car seat included. Simply because I don’t have the time to worry about which car seat is compatible with which stroller. If you purchase items that are incompatible, you will need to return one or both of them which wastes time and is incredibly frustrating.
I say give me a complete travel system with infant car seat included options. I will be willing to pay maybe even slightly more to know that when my purchase arrives, I am ready to go. I am sure you will agree that spending time with our little angels is much more important than worrying about things like that.
